Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs and curriculum for children in accordance with state regulations and guidelines
- Oversee the daily operations of the child care center, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with parents and families to provide ongoing communication and support
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and progress, providing feedback to parents and staff
- Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to enrollment, attendance, and program activities
Skills:
- Higher education teaching experience preferred, with a focus on early childhood education or related field
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a child care or preschool environment
- Strong ability to educate and engage young children, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Knowledge of education administration practices, including curriculum development, assessment strategies, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with parents, staff, and community members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks
