We are looking for a dynamic individual that is looking for a challenge to help us grow our Hotel portfolio throughout the Outer Banks, NC area.
We want a forward thinking individual that has a vision of what can be created.
We want someone willing to live in he Outer Banks and experience life at the Beach and all the advantages of being in a resort area.
COME GROW WITH US!!! Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage the operations of multiple hotels within the Outer Banks region.
- Currently there is one hotel in the portfolio with the goal to add others.
- Provide leadership and guidance to hotel managers and staff - Food and Beverage and Entertainment assets are also part of the portfolio and in need of leadership.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability of all assets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards - Monitor and analyze financial performance of each hotel/asset.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy and revenue growth - Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards are met - Handle escalated customer service issues and resolve them in a timely manner - Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance Basic Skills: - Strong supervisory and leadership abilities - Proficiency in phone systems and other communication tools - Bilingual proficiency (if applicable to the region) - Knowledge of human resources practices and regulations - Experience in hotel management or related field - Excellent customer service skills - Understanding of hospitality management principles - Familiarity with night audit procedures - Knowledge of revenue management strategiesResponsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met.
Manages all areas of the hotel in accordance with brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality.
Provides exemplary performance for staff to follow and requires 100% travel as needed and directed by the Executive Vice President.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * *GUEST RELATIONS AND TEAM LEADERSHIP* · Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest service expectations.
· Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
· Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times.
· Communicate all goals and results with team members.
· Promote teamwork and team member morale.
· Lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
· Motivate and encourage staff to solve guest and team member related concerns.
· Communicate career opportunities to team leaders and team members utilizing Career Bulletin.
· Recognize good team performance on a continuous basis through reward and recognition programs.
· Promote empowerment by recognizing team members that make decisions.
· Develop cross-training opportunities throughout the hotel.
Assist assistant general manager/team leaders in understanding results, developing game plans to attack need areas and expand on strengths.
· Complete skills matrix for assistant general manager and team leaders focusing on continual learning.
*FINANCIAL* · Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction.
· Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
· Develop annual budget and capital expenditure plans.
· Aggressively minimize accident, workmen’s compensation, and unemployment claims and resulting costs.
· Utilize budgets to teach assistant general manager and team supervisors to understand financial objectives.
Balancing costs with team members/guests satisfaction.
· Develop and communicate selling strategies.
· Review these weekly with Director of Sales/Sales Team.
· Oversee all accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll, and purchasing procedures.
*SALES AND MARKETING* · Implement and encourage hotel participation in corporate national sales and marketing programs.
· Communicate competitive market conditions to team supervisors and Corporate Management.
· Continually solicit new business for the hotel.
· Networking during breakfast and social hours to assist sales in uncovering new business leads.
· Stay current on local market conditions.
· Assist the hotel sales team and corporate teams with preparing the annual revenue budget and annual marketing plan.
· Maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients, and the local community.
· Manage sales effort.
*OPERATIONS* · Responsible for accident prevention programs.
· Audit to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, grounds, work and kitchen areas meet sanitation and cleanliness standards.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance and general clean program so that guest satisfaction goals are attained.
· Coordinate room care programs (including general cleans).
Identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
*ADMINISTRATIVE* · Use constructive coaching and counseling when addressing team members concerns.
· Maintain current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
· Have working knowledge of all corporate brands manuals.
