The Guest Service Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of approximately 30-40 seasonal employees and ensuring that each guest has a wonderful experience.
The supervisor is also the first point of contact to handle any guest issues or concerns that may arise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Oversee Park opening and closing procedures ? Have thorough knowledge of Park and all ticket options/promotions available ? Monitor operation of the department and make any recommendations as necessary ? Oversee Guest Services team which may include scheduling and training ? Provide coaching, encouragement, and recognition to Guest Services team regularly ? Respond to any customer concerns/feedback in a friendly and engaging manner; address with management as appropriate/necessary ? Work hands on over given periods of time to meet business demands to ensure that day to day operations run smoothly ? Work closely with Guest Services Manager to ensure metrics are being met ? Leads by example ? Maintain a clean and safe work environment ? Attends staff meetings and other meetings as requested ? Perform all other duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS Skills ? Possess basic computer and POS system knowledge ? Basic problem solving and reasoning skills ? Organizational skills ? Strong customer service skills ? Must be able to communicate effectively Experience ? Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred ? Proven track record of leading a team productively is preferred Abilities ? Works well under pressure ? Comfortable with computers and database entry ? Proficient with cash handling.
? Open/flexible availability to include weekends and holidays ? Ability to get results through effective communication and follow up ? Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and other team members in verbal and written form ? Must be able to maintain a positive/friendly attitude ? Follow and enforce all waterpark standards ? Ability to accept guidance and supervision PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is regularly required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
