Emergency Medical Technician (Part Time)

*About us* *Chocowinity EMS provides ALS and BLS level care to the residents of the Town of Chocowinity and the areas surrounding areas.
They also provide medical transports for dialysis patients to and from treatments, doctor's appointments and interfacilities.
* Town of Chocowinity EMS is accepting applications for full- time and part-time EMTs Paramedics.
These personnel are responsible for staffing ambulances and responding to / caring for the citizens and visitors of Town of Chocowinity and Beaufort County.
• 911 & Transport Division Schedule • 24/72 Shift Schedule: meaning that the duration of a duty shift is 24 hours followed by 72 hours of “off duty” time.
Report time is by 6:45am to 7:00am the following day.
Essential Functions • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls for service • Foster and maintain professional relationships with other providers, healthcare workers, citizens, and patients • Provide lifesaving measures to the critically ill or injured within the scope of the provider level • Facilitate transport of these patients to the hospital • Check / maintain EMS equipment / medical supplies when on duty • Complete patient care reports (PCRs) after a call for service • Participate in training and other activities at the discretion of the EMS Chief • Must complete a successful TSOP with Beaufort County Medical Director • Must possess and maintain a clear criminal record • Must possess and maintain a valid NC Driver’s License Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED • North Carolina EMS state certification • North Carolina Driver’s License and acceptable driving record are looking for an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to medical emergencies, providing medical care and transportation to patients, and providing basic life support services.
The EMT-P must be able to assess the situation quickly and accurately, respond with appropriate medical treatment, and remain calm in high-pressure situations.

* Operate and maintain medical equipment.

* Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities.
* Maintain patient records and documentation.
