Dixon "lawsuit" Les Paul - $499 (CHOCOWINITY)

Dixon law suit era Les Paul.
The story, although unknown if factual or myth (likely a combination of both), goes that an employee of Gibson was perturbed that he was not given proper recognition for his contribution to the company and set out on his own using his knowledge and experience gained from designing Gibson guitars- Dixon Guitars was born.
This was in the law suit era, and Gibson successfully sued.
After winning, Gibson went out of their way to try to destroy each of these they could find…few made it, here is a survivor of that purge! I downgraded from excellent condition only because the back has a few worn spots (pictured).
It also appears to have replacement tuners (also pictured).
It plays even better than she looks, fast neck, great action- nice humbucker tones! You see Dixon strats occasionally, but you’ll be hard pressed to find one of these collector pieces; especially in this condition.
