Project Safety Officer

Construction Safety Officer for a Historic Masonry Company Duties: - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures - Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) - Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training sessions - Collaborate with management to develop and update emergency response plans - Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards - Coordinate with external agencies, such as fire departments or environmental agencies, as needed - Stay current on industry trends and best practices in safety management Skills: - Strong knowledge of compliance management principles and practices - Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety-related data - Familiarity with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and standards - Understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures - Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to interpret and apply them effectively - Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of safety - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain accurate records - Background in construction management is preferred -Scaffolding Certified - OSHA 30 If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring the safety of others, we invite you to apply for the position of Safety Officer.
